Thanks to Sandy Springs Education Force, students at Ison Springs Elementary are diving into hands-on STEAM and coding experiences in after-school clubs led by Dr. Kenya Greer. SSEF’s support provided cutting-edge tools that make learning interactive, engaging and future-focused. Some examples of student work include:
Z Space VR Demos – Students participated in immersive learning experiences like “Cooking with Z-Space” and “Medically Speaking with Z-Space.” They used virtual reality to explore scientific concepts in a way that feels like stepping into a real-life lab!
Luxury Living with Sox & Rolling with Sphero Bolts – These coding activities introduced students to foundational programming concepts while bringing their ideas to life. By controlling robotic spheres, students learned problem-solving and computational thinking skills.
Dashbots in Action – Using iPads, students coded Dashbots to follow commands, navigate mazes, and respond to voice commands, giving them hands-on practice in logic, sequencing and robotics.
